How do I choose the right rim depth for my riding style?
Selecting rim depth depends on your environment. Shallow rims like the Ardennes are ideal for climbing and stability in crosswinds, while deeper profiles like the Vanquish or Jet series offer maximum aerodynamic advantages for time trials and flat roads.
What is the weight limit for HED wheelsets?
Most of our standard wheelsets have a rider weight limit of 225 lbs. However, we offer 'Stallion' builds for many models which are reinforced with higher spoke counts to accommodate riders up to 250 lbs.
Are HED wheels tubeless compatible?
Yes, many of our modern wheelsets, including the Vanquish RC and Emporia series, are designed with tubeless-ready beads. We recommend using HED-approved tubeless tape and valves for the best seal.
What is your return policy for performance wheels?
We accept returns on unused, unmounted items in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Please note that custom-built wheelsets may be subject to a restocking fee.
Do you offer a warranty on carbon fiber products?
HED Cycling provides a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects on all carbon rims to the original owner. We also offer a crash replacement program for incidents not covered by warranty.
How long does shipping take for custom wheel builds?
Standard in-stock items ship within 2-3 business days. Custom hand-built wheelsets typically require a lead time of 10-14 business days to ensure precision tensioning and quality control.
